Yes, I am retiring :)

After having the best year last year, and some record breaking months this year, I decided that this is the perfect time to draw the finish line.

It’s been almost 30 years since I changed my career from medical science to fashion. It’s been an exciting and fulfilling journey, with many beautiful and lasting memories. I have enjoyed it with all my heart and mind, and I am gratified with the way things have turned out.

I feel extraordinarily fortunate to have met all of you, who have been consistently loyal and supportive all these years. Because of you, I have been able to weather every storm and thrive the entire time. I appreciate all of you very much!

Thank you for introducing my store to your friends with enthusiasm; thank you for making sure to stop in when visiting your family from other states or countries; thank you for coming in with a bright smile and positive attitude; thank you for making time to send me emails to show your appreciation; thank you for popping in just to tell me how much you love my window displays while walking by. Every warm smile and every kind word of yours has contributed to my happiness :)

I also feel deeply grateful to have wonderful employees, without whom it wouldn’t have been possible. And I am thankful to have a very kind and helpful landlord.

Some of you are retired and enjoying a very active and rewarding life, and kindly shared your experiences with me. I have always enjoyed our conversations, which gave me enormous inspiration. I too, want to start a thrilling new phase of my life, freely pursuing all the things I desire in my lifetime. And I want to start it when I am still young and energetic :)

I have decided NOT to sell my business in spite of some interest. I have an experience of selling a business (my Los Altos store). This time, I want to have a clean finish and wholeheartedly engage myself in a different and refreshing new lifestyle. I will clear out all the inventory, and everything else in the store, including furniture, mannequins, photo studio lighting devices, artwork, racks, fabrics, printers, vases, curtains, props etc.
